Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. The W.H.O. has declared Covid-19 a global pandemic. To minimize your risk, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends you engage in good hygiene practices and social distancing. The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has determined that Covid-19 is in widespread community transmission. This means that you should self-quarantine as much as possible. As of 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, every New Yorker must stay at home from work, unless they are an essential worker. Governor Cuomo has extended this order to April 15, 2020.
