Grand Street Guild Scholars

Grand Street Guild Community & Social Services is proud to announce the start of a new program — the Grand Street Guild Scholars! This summer, residents can participate in free high quality SHSAT and SAT prep starting July 10th. Classes will place a strong emphasis on college readiness, personal motivation, and leadership. SHSAT classes will meet Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. SAT Classes will meet Wednesdays from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. Space is limited. Sign up here!

Apply Today for Social Services Summer Internship

The Grand Street Guild Social Services Department is accepting applications for its Social Services Summer Internship Program. This paid, part-time position, located on site at Grand Street Guild, is designed for young residents who are passionate about social justice and community organizing. Working with our talented staff, the intern will gain insight into nonprofit management as well as enjoy special opportunities to tour behind-the-scenes at partner organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, in tandem with volunteers from Catholic Charities.

PHOTOS: Social Services Day in the Amphitheater

We were delighted to spend a sunny afternoon with Grand Street Guild residents in the amphitheater this past weekend as we hosted Social Services Day.

With tables circling the amphitheater, our partner organizations provided residents with helpful information about activities in our neighborhood, health advice and much more. In attendance we were pleased to have the office of NYC Councilmember Margaret Chin, the office of Comptroller Scott StringerCatholic CharitiesHenry Street Settlement, the Grand Street Guild Residents Association, and more.
